CONTINUUM™ · Agentic Process Intelligence

Don't do DMAIC.

Deploy it.

Six Sigma was built for a world where humans were the only available measurement and analysis layer. CONTINUUM replaces that layer with a permanent, self-correcting, quorum-gated agent cluster, running 24/7 on hardware you own. The Black Belt becomes the architect, not the engine.

The Inflection Point

Six Sigma is being automated.
The credential survives. The role does not.

AI agents now do what Black Belts have spent careers doing: collect and clean data, run root cause analysis, generate control charts, draft reports. Those were the billable hours. They are gone.

AUTOMATED

Data Collection & Cleaning

Agents ingest, normalize, and version process data continuously

AUTOMATED

Root Cause Analysis

Agents generate root-cause hypotheses from logs in minutes; the quorum validates before anything ships

AUTOMATED

SPC Charts & Capability Studies

Real-time pipelines replace weekly Minitab reviews

AUTOMATED

Report Generation

AI drafts stakeholder deliverables in minutes, not days

AMPLIFIED

Organizational Navigation

Knowing which process to fix and how to get buy-in, irreplaceable

AMPLIFIED

Change Management

AI cannot convince a floor supervisor or VP to adopt new workflows

AMPLIFIED

Problem Framing

The expert who asks the right question before AI analyzes it wins

NEW ROLE

Agentic System Design

Designing AI process clusters is the new Six Sigma. This is your territory.

The Mapping

DMAIC, re-engineered for agents.

Every phase of the Six Sigma cycle maps to a CONTINUUM capability, except CONTINUUM runs all five phases simultaneously, in perpetuity, without a project timeline.

D: Define

Traditional

6-week scoping workshops, stakeholder interviews, consultant charters

CONTINUUM

Signal ingestion agents continuously define problem surfaces from live process telemetry. No kick-off meeting required.

M: Measure

Traditional

Manual data pulls, Gauge R&R, Minitab exports, weeks of cleansing

CONTINUUM

Continuous multi-stream telemetry ingestion across all nodes. RS(16,9) holographic encoding: lose up to 7 of the 16 shards and the full measurement history still reconstructs from the survivors.

A: Analyze

Traditional

Black Belt runs root cause sessions, builds fishbones, 5 Whys with a human team

CONTINUUM

Quorum agreement across the agent ensemble produces the root cause. No single agent's output is taken on its own.

I: Improve

Traditional

Pilot runs, change management, change orders, re-measurement cycles over months

CONTINUUM

Deterministic, idempotent execution deploys approved improvements with a cryptographic audit trail. Every corrective action is replayable; regulated deployments keep a human signature on the change gate.

C: Control

Traditional

Control plans, SPC charts reviewed weekly by humans, drift undetected for days

CONTINUUM

Perpetual 24/7 control loop. Drift triggers quorum re-analysis in real time. Adaptive health gate evaluates every cycle. The process never stops improving.

Under the Hood

Six primitives. Each chosen to solve
a failure mode that kills DMAIC programs.

BFT

Byzantine Fault-Tolerant Consensus: Reference Implementation

HotStuff BFT (Yin et al., 2018), three-phase quorum certificates over a chained block tree, parameterized n=16, f=5, quorum=11 (n=3f+1, quorum=2f+1). Leader-based per view, leadership rotates on failure, no permanent master. Implemented and unit-tested; live multi-node commit is in build, not yet deployed. Safety holds against up to 5 Byzantine nodes; past 5 concurrent node losses the cluster halts rather than commits, safety over liveness by design.

RS

Holographic State Recovery

Reed-Solomon RS(16,9) erasure coding across all agent nodes. Lose up to 7 of the 16 shards and full process state reconstructs from the survivors, verified end-to-end against the reference codec. Storage and consensus are separate fault domains: beyond 5 lost nodes the cluster pauses new commits, but the full process history remains recoverable up to the 7-shard erasure bound.

PQC

Post-Quantum Security

ML-KEM-768 (NIST FIPS 203) key encapsulation wrapping AES-256-GCM envelope encryption for payload and at-rest data (inter-agent transport encapsulation in build). Your process IP, production parameters, and financial control data survive Q-Day.

AHG

Adaptive Health Gate

Every process cycle is evaluated against a golden-ratio-derived health threshold (φ⁻¹ ≈ 0.618), a fixed, documented gate rather than an arbitrary Cpk band, tuned per domain for signal sensitivity versus false-positive rate.

IDE

Idempotent Execution Pipeline

5-phase deterministic pipeline: ingest, navigate, hold, execute, log. Every corrective action produces the same result on every run, is fully auditable, and can be cryptographically rolled back.

DAT

Decentralized Agent Topology

Multi-agent sovereign cluster with no permanent master and no single point of failure. Every node runs the same stack; per-view leadership rotates, and any node's role can be assumed by its peers.

Five critical domains.

CONTINUUM's fault-tolerant, post-quantum, sovereign architecture applies wherever process failure carries consequences, from sterile manufacturing to contested combat environments.

Rx

PHARMA

Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

OOS prevention at machine speed

  • Drift surfaces on the cycle it appears, not at the next review
  • Continuous CQA monitoring across every batch parameter
  • Idempotent, replayable CAPA record for every action
  • FDA 21 CFR Part 11 · EU Annex 11 · GAMP 5

Key Differentiator

Cross-parameter predictive detection catches failure modes before any single CQA breaches specification, structurally impossible for project-based DMAIC.

FINTECH

Financial Operations

Reconciliation breaks resolved in seconds, not weeks

  • Audit-evidence mapping: SOX 404 · DORA Art. 9/10 (protection & detection) · Basel III op-risk
  • Continuous-monitoring evidence mapped to PCI-DSS 4.0
  • ML-KEM-768-wrapped encryption on process records at rest
  • Immutable audit trail for every action

Key Differentiator

The evidence for compliance becomes a byproduct of operations, not a quarterly high-cost workstream. The audit trail is always current.

DEFENSE

Defense & Government

Process intelligence for contested environments

  • Designed to survive multiple simultaneous node failures (BFT, n=16 / f=5)
  • Full state recovery from surviving nodes (Reed-Solomon)
  • Air-gapped sovereign hardware deployment
  • SBIR / OTA acquisition path available

Key Differentiator

Logistics, maintenance, and supply chain intelligence that functions under comms degradation, adversarial interference, and partial infrastructure loss.

AVIATION

Aviation & Aerospace MRO

Predictive failure detection across aircraft systems

  • Cross-parameter interaction detection
  • Continuous airworthiness parameter monitoring
  • Idempotent CAPA logging for FAA audit readiness
  • AS9100 quality-system alignment

Key Differentiator

The Day 67 problem: three parameters all within spec, no alarm, no human would have looked. CONTINUUM is built to surface exactly that cross-parameter interaction, the failure class single-parameter SPC structurally cannot see.

MEDICAL

Medical Triage / Combat Casualty

Quorum-validated decision support under austere conditions

  • Triage prioritization support under comms degradation
  • Quorum-validated decision support consensus
  • Runs on field-deployable sovereign hardware
  • DARPA / Army MEDCOM acquisition path

Key Differentiator

Quorum agreement is designed to support a triage recommendation even when sensors are degraded, comms are partial, and time is critical. Research and military-evaluation use: not a medical device, not FDA cleared, and not a substitute for clinical judgment.

Who This Is For

Six types of client.
One common problem.

Six Sigma Black Belts

The Fear

Being automated out of the middle layer

The Answer

Become the architect of the system that replaced you. CONTINUUM Architect > Black Belt.

Quality Directors

The Fear

Project-based improvement cycles too slow for modern operations

The Answer

Continuous control loops running 24/7. Drift surfaces on the cycle it appears, not at the next weekly review.

Enterprise CIOs / CTOs

The Fear

Process intelligence locked in vendor SaaS, consultant deliverables, expired licenses

The Answer

On your own hardware. Your process IP never leaves your perimeter. No Seeq. No Aveva. Yours.

Regulated Industries

The Fear

Audit trails, process integrity, Q-Day exposure on sensitive process records

The Answer

Continuous ALCOA+ audit trail. ML-KEM-768 encapsulation on telemetry at rest. GAMP 5 validation. Q-Day ready today.

Defense & Government

The Fear

Process intelligence systems that fail under adversarial conditions

The Answer

BFT consensus is designed to survive multiple simultaneous node failures. Reed-Solomon RS(16,9) reconstructs full history from any 9 of 16 shards. Built for contested environments.

Aviation & Aerospace

The Fear

Maintenance process drift undetected until it becomes an incident

The Answer

Cross-parameter detection targets failure modes that appear before any single parameter breaches spec, the Day 67 problem.

Claim 82

AGENTIC_DMAIC_WHITE_PAPER.md §3-4

Agentic DMAIC Framework

Formal structural correspondence between the five DMAIC phases and a Byzantine fault-tolerant multi-agent architecture: Define ↔ signal ingestion; Measure ↔ RS(16,9) holographic telemetry; Analyze ↔ BFT quorum root-cause consensus (n=16, f=5, quorum=11); Improve ↔ deterministic idempotent execution; Control ↔ adaptive health-gate with quorum-triggered drift response. First architecture that instantiates DMAIC as a permanent feedback control loop rather than a project methodology. Regulatory correspondence: SOX 404 · DORA Articles 9/10 · Basel III · PCI-DSS 4.0.

Claim 83

AGENTIC_DMAIC_WHITE_PAPER.md §3.5

FMEA Detection Collapse

Derived architectural property: for failure modes within sensor coverage, continuous 24/7 BFT-validated telemetry drives the Detection factor in the classical FMEA Risk Priority Number (Severity × Occurrence × Detection, per SAE J1739 / IEC 60812) toward its floor of 1, collapsing RPN toward a two-factor function of Severity × Occurrence. Traditional periodic FMEA reviews exist because human-operated detection is expensive. For instrumented failure modes, this closes the detection gap structurally. First systematic reformulation of FMEA under the assumption of near-zero-cost continuous detection.

Claim 84

AGENTIC_DMAIC_WHITE_PAPER.md §6

CONTINUUM Process Architect Credential

Named practitioner qualification replacing the Six Sigma Black Belt in the era of autonomous process intelligence. Curriculum: BFT consensus parameterization for a given risk profile; health-gate tuning for domain-specific signal sensitivity vs. false-positive rate; idempotent corrective action authoring; quorum failure triage. The practitioner becomes architect of the autonomous system, not operator of the analysis engine.

Claim 85

CONTINUUM_FRAMEWORK_DOC.md

CONTINUUM™: Named Methodology

Continuous Operational Intelligence via Unified Multi-agent Nodes. The productized form of the Agentic DMAIC Framework (Claim 82), the deployment model, the credential pipeline, and the commercial offering for replacing project-based Six Sigma with a sovereign, autonomous, BFT-validated, post-quantum-secured 24/7 process intelligence loop running on hardware the organization owns. Trademark filing pending.
